Playback Issues - After Upgrading to QuickTime 7.6.6

Apple released QuickTime version 7.6.6 on March 30, 2010. The browser plug-in for this version of QuickTime does not support JavaScript control over the media object. This causes the Content Loading problem in Total Training Online as the player is not able to transition to lesson content.

Solutions Available To You!

For Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7
If QuickTime 7.6.6 is installed on your system you have the following options:

Option I: Use Internet Explorer
Internet Explorer is unaffected by the QuickTime issue.

Option II: Install the Windows Media Player Plug-in
To install the Firefox Plug-In for Windows Media Player, please visit http://port25.technet.com/pages/windows-media-player-firefox-plugin-download.aspx and follow the installation instructions. This Plug-In can also be used with Opera, Safari and SeaMonkey.

To use the Windows Media Player 11 plug-in with SeaMonkey or Opera, copy np-mswmp.dll to your browser plug-in folder. Google Chrome does not use the Windows Media Player plug-in, it uses the ActiveX control instead and is unaffected. Additional information and test pages for the plug-in can be found at http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/windows.html

Option III: Downgrade QuickTime
Using the Add/Remove Programs functionality remove QuickTime 7.6.6 from your system. You can then download and install the previous QuickTime version from the Apple support web site at http://support.apple.com/kb/DL26. Please be aware that this version of QuickTime is not compatible with the latest version of other programs including the latest version of iTunes.
Mac OS
Safari and Chrome browsers continue to function normally. Total Training Online will not work using Firefox or Opera browsers with version 7.6.6. Your resolution is to use a browser that is supported or downgrade QuickTime.
