Features of Adobe Premiere Elements 10

Adobe is known for releasing versions of some of its design programs for the consumer market, referred to as "Elements" versions. Photoshop is available in this format, as is Premiere, Adobe's video editing program. The latest version of the latter, Premiere Elements 10, was recently released, and it offers a number of enhanced new features.

According to BlogCritics SciTech, the newest version of Premiere Elements retains its user-friendliness, while also providing a wide range of capabilities that will be useful for novice, intermediate and advanced amateur video editors, producers and filmmakers.

The news source reports that a notable improvement in Premiere Elements 10 is the program's ability to adjust and boost colors. With the Three-Way Color Corrector feature, aspects of colors, such as shadow and highlights, can be altered according to users' preferences with sliders that make exact adjustments. Additionally, flat colors can be brightened without interfering with skin tone.

Finally, the program allows burning HD movies to standard DVDs, as well as Blu-ray discs, and the Pan and Zoom feature brings aspects of video to static photos.

According to ZDNet, Adobe Premiere is often used by film school faculty and students as well as by professional film and TV directors.
