Product Reviewed: Total Training for Digital Video Collection Professional Plus Bundle

The Carlsbad, Calif. Company
offers an incredible set
of videos to help master the
collection.
In its digital video collection
bundle, you get 120.5
hours of instructional videos
(that's 15+ eight-hour days)
on 35 DVDs and 1 CD in addition
to project files to go
along with each subject. You
can also purchase a set of
DVDs on the individual programs
if you don't need the
full set, although to get the
most out of your training,
that's the way to go.
The videos are extremely
informative, but don't have
that hum-drum monotone approach
that you find in some
training videos.
They're lively and upbeat
and contain some really good
instruction while keeping you
entertained as well.
I don't know about you, but
when I have trouble sleeping,
the first thing I reach for is a
training manual on a software
application. A page or two in
and it's lights out for me. Unfortunately,
a lot of training
videos fall into the same category.
Lay down on the couch
to watch a chapter or two and
wake up hours later hoping
you are a good sleep learner.
That's not the case with the
Total Training Videos. These
guys have found the sweet
spot between drilling something
into your memory and
keeping you entertained.
Their instructors are not only
good at teaching, but they
seem to have a lot of stage
presence as well.
The package includes Total
Training for Adobe After Effects
6.5 Professional Version,
Total Training for Adobe Audition
1.5, Total Training for
Adobe Photoshop CS, Total
Training for Adobe Encore
DVD 1.5, Total Training for
Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 and
Total Training Presents:
Adobe Video Collection -
From Edit to Output. That's a
lot of training.
With the training on DVD,
you can easily work through
the examples on your computer
following the instructors
step by step. The accompanying
project files are excellent
examples of the concepts they
are getting across, and if you
are smart, you will keep them
around for future reference.
This is a great package, and
well worth your time.
