Total Training For: Adobe InDesign CS2
Review Date: June 2005

Product Reviewed: Total Training for InDesign CS2

Total Training For: Adobe® InDesign® CS2 is presented by Steve Holmes. Of course, you need a copy of InDesign CS2 to get into this training, otherwise, why are you here? This is really one of a 3-set bundle with Photoshop CS2 and Illustrator CS2 being the other two parts of “Phase 1” or Standard Edition. “Phase 2” will come later as the Premium Edition and will contain training modules from “Design to Delivery” and GoLive2.
This package has 2 Parts; Part 1 contains 20 lessons covering Design, Typography and Layout. Part 2 involves us in Production Magic and Streamlined Output.
As with Total Training For: Adobe® Photoshop® CS2, the Training Application is installed to run the training videos (TIDCS2 Launchpad Mac in my case). And as I said in the Total Training For: Adobe® Photoshop® CS2 review, the interface has been markedly improved. Thanks, Total Training!
At the end of Part 2, there is a Bonus Lesson that can be accessed only after registration at totaltraining.com for an unlock code. It covers Poster Design with 13 sections and runs another 59 minutes.
Steve Holmes carries his English accent throughout this set and it is obvious from over 15 years of experience that he knows his topic well, as he shows us step by step how to create an interactive brochure of the Berliner Museum of Art that includes some QuickTime Movie clips in the final PDFed version.
