Senior Manager, Online Marketing

Reports to VP, Sales & Marketing

Senior Manager, Online Media will serve as online marketing subject matter expert in providing guidance and knowledge base to Executive Management and marketing team on strategy development and execution for Total Training website(s) and other media/industry partner relationships, online ad placement, web-enabled discs, affiliate programs, search engine marketing (organic/paid) and emerging platforms (blogs, podcasts, forums, social networking sites, etc.). This position will provide appropriate internal resources in tracking, measurement, and optimizing online-related spend.

Position will focus on maximizing revenues and subscriptions from new prospects, existing customers and advertising opportunities. This position is responsible for creating, developing and implementing compelling marketing promotions.

The position will be responsible for creating a seamless and effective conversion experience for prospect marketing from all channels, including but not limited Total Training website(s), email programs, and other media/industry partner relationships, online ad placement, web-enabled discs, affiliate programs, search engine marketing (organic/paid) and emerging platforms (blogs, podcasts, forums, social networking sites, etc.). In addition to driving new customers, this position will also support enhancing the prospect customer experience. This includes identifying site enhancement needs, managing implementation of key usability improvement initiatives to improve site conversion, cross-sell programs, activation, and retention on www.totaltraining.com and related sites.

The manager will provide editorial and design input, ensuring consistency and excellence relative to content, branding and online opportunities between products and businesses. This position requires high attention to detail and close coordination with the other members of the broader Sales and Marketing team.

Essential Job Duties:
  • Translate business strategy into campaign briefs to provide guidance and direction to marketing team and related team members
  • Plan and maintain budget for all online activities
  • Incorporate strategies into short and long-term team objectives
  • Partner with business stakeholders to meet their online marketing objectives
  • Monitor campaigns maximize ROI through media and creative optimization
  • Develop/manage reports that track results and produce key insights/enhancements
  • Own partner relationships as it relates to online opportunities and activities

Requirements:
  • 3 – 5 years online marketing experience (consumer products a plus).
  • Experience writing persuasive search friendly content to traffic.
  • Strong knowledge of search engine algorithms and ranking strategies for Google.
  • Landing page conversion optimization (A/B testing, multivariate testing and offer testing background).
  • Working knowledge of web analytic tools such as Google Analytics and Google Website Optimizer
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience with online display advertising, banner advertising, affiliate marketing (ex. Linkshare), website analytics and website conversion metrics (CPM, CTR, CPC, CPL, CPA) a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment on multiple projects with varying deadlines
  • Bachelors degree required.
