IT Developer

Preferred Experience:
Total Training is seeking a Web Developer with experience in both database management and web development. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in eCommerce/Database analysis, integration and web portal development using ASP.Net (C#), ASP, HTML and Microsoft IIS, SQL Server. Experience with MS Great Plains and eConnect a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities for this position will include maintaining and developing new eCommerce functionality.

Handle day to day maintenance of ecommerce website operations.
Develop and implement web based interfaces for data access, or participate in selection of commercially developed solutions as needed.
Work with internal customers setting up accounts and handling issue resolution.
Provide training and mentoring to other technology staff members as requested.
Work with application vendors as needed.
Coordinate all application integration and standardization efforts.

Skills and Abilities:
To be considered for this position, the applicant will need to possess the following:

eCommerce development experience required. (Microsoft Great Plains and eConnect experience a plus.)
Expert knowledge SQL 2000 and SQL 2005.
Expert knowledge of ASP.Net (C#), ASP, HTML and XHTML.
Knowledge of client side technologies such as JavaScript, ActionScript.
Knowledge of Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
The ability to work as part of a diverse team.
Strong business acumen combined with proficiency in database technology.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels across the organization.
2-4 years experience eCommerce development.
Experience with online transaction processing systems is preferable, but not required.

Education:
A four year degree in Computer Science or another closely related field is highly preferred but not required.

Location: Carlsbad, California. Local candidate preferred.
